Vacuum Rotation Filter-Operation

The Rotating Vacuum Filter Unit (VRF) pulls contaminated fluid through a permanent media filter by means of a vacuum pump. This permanent media is a steel drum with stainless steel, wire fabric. After passing through the fabric of the drum, the fluid is pumped into the clean tank of the VRF, leaving contaminant particles on the outside of the drum. Activated by vacuum, the drum rotates and is cleaned from the inside by a pump mounted in the clean tank, and supplied by coolant from this clean tank. The contaminant particles are then removed from the dirty tank by a scraper chain and deposited into a discharge receptacle.
